“Confessions” traces the deterioration of a marriage. Over the course of 1 year, during which the husband believes a chance exists to rekindle their love, Pratik recalls the problems that have caused changes in the way that he and his wife relate to each other. Since the death of the baby, Mohini makes it a point to leave for work before Pratik wakes up. At work, Mohini edits textbooks.

Pratik likes cooking. It is the only thing that still made him feel productive, and he knew that if he didn't cook, Mohini would probably eat a bowl of cereal for dinner. Tonight, after a very long time they would eat together. For months they have been eating alone in separate rooms. Over dinner, Mohini initiates a discussion in the form of game – Confessions, where they have to say something that they haven't told each other. After the initial hiccup their confessions start. It is after their comfort level is re-attained that Mohini comes up with the confession, for which she had started the game, that of leaving their home. Pratik is shocked and shattered. He breaks down. He then, tells her the one thing he kept from her when he still loved her. When he arrived at the hospital he saw their baby. It was boy. He describes the way he looked, his hair and weight. The look on her face shows her sorrow, shows the suppressed anger is finally giving way to a hope of their re-union.
